29/06/2024 - Pride Parade: March in pride with Trad is Amach LGBTQ+ trad musicians, singers, dancers and allies. Location: Meeting outside Funland Casino on O’Connell street at 11.15am, leaving from red zone @ 12noon.

29/06/2024 - Pride Céilí: Dancing time! Trad is Amach are hosting the Pride Céilí. Location: Pride Village main stage, Merrion Square, 4.30 - 5pm.

28/06/2024 - Trad is Amach meetup: Join members of Trad is Amach for a social evening, listening to a great session, having the chats and the craic with other LGBTQ+ trad musicians, singers, dancers and allies. Location: Piper's Corner, Marlborough St, for the Friday session, at 9pm.

23/03/2022 - Umbrella group “Safe Arts of Ireland”, of which FairPlé is a member, meet with Minister Catherine Martin to discuss upcoming announcements and implementation of resources for the dignity and safety of all arts workers.

16/03/2022 - Publication of FairPlé’s bystander guidelines. FairPlé would like to thank Rape Crisis Centre for their support in developing this research.

11/03/2022 - Activists of FairPlé meet with Deputy General Secretary of SIPTU Ethel Buckley, and members of SIPTU Michelle Quinn, Frank Connolly, Andrea Holmes, and Rachel Ryan to discuss proactive measures to tackle issues of sexual harassment and gender inequality in the Irish traditional/ folk music scene, and the arts in general.

16/02/2022 - Safe Arts of Ireland (SAOI) alongside Irish Theatre Institute (ITI) and Arts Council Ireland speak before the Houses of the Oireachtas at a meeting titled, 'Safe & Respectful Working Environment in Arts'.

26/01/2022 - FairPlé co-founder Niamh Ní Charra speaks at “The Futures of Irish Music”, Temple Bar Trad Fest seminar on how Irish music can centre equality, diversity and inclusion moving forward as both an artform and as an industry.

10/12/2021 - FairPlé sister organisation Esperance develops “Guidance for Compering”– a set of resources for comperes, performers and event organisers at folk events/ festivals. It includes suggested language for event introductions, a checklist of information to find out from performers in advance, and tips for event organisers when briefing comperes. For performers, there is a template to send to event organisers plus examples of access riders created by members of English Folk Expo’s Folk Talk Together: Access All Areas group.

05/12/2021 - FairPlé/ MiseFosta activist Anna Ní Nualláin joins Michelle Byrne and Glen Fitzpatrick to discuss MiseFosta, FairPlé’s recommendations brought before the Oireachtas Joint Committee and more on “The Week At Work” podcast.

17/11/2021 - FairPlé and MiseFosta invited before the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Tourism, Culture, Arts, Sport and Media, to discuss “A Safe and Respectful Working Environment for the Arts”.

21/10/2021 - FairPlé activists attend the launch of the ITI “Speak Up: A Call For Change Report”.

24/09/2021 - Members of FairPlé attend a one-day virtual training programme hosted by Dublin Rape Crisis Centre on awareness and disclosure of sexual assault/ violence. This programme provided members with important information on how to support oneself when dealing with disclosures of sexual assault/violence and also how to support survivors that come forward. FairPlé would like to thank the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre for their support and time in facilitating this workshop.

18/06/2021 - Members of FairPlé, #MiseFosta and Dr Úna Monaghan meet with Mary Nash and Kathleen Hannigan from Arts, Film and Investment Unit, and Department of Justice official, Deaglán O Briain. Issues discussed include proactive ways to tackle issues of sexual harassment and gender inequality in the Irish traditional/ folk music scene, and the arts in general.

02/06/2021 - Launch of FairPlé #Pride campaign for Pride Month 2021 across social media accounts in an effort to promote and advocate for an inclusive and safe music scene for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, socioeconomic background.

28/05/2021 - FairPlé activist Jessica Cawley discusses Tes Slominki’s Trad Nation (2020), FairPlé, and how to make Irish traditional music more inclusive at the SMI/ICTM plenary conference.

06/05/2021 - Activists of FairPlé and #MiseFosta meet with Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin. Issues discussed include proactive steps to tackle issues of sexual harassment and gender inequality in the Irish traditional/ folk music scene, and issues faced by the arts in general.

31/03/2021 - Co-founders of FairPlé Karan Casey, Pauline Scanlon, Niamh Ní Charra, Kate Barry, and Joanne Cusack attend meeting with Senator Fintan Warfield and members of Sinn Féin Ireland.
